This video was taken during the slaughtering of a huge, white buluk (cow) in Bravet on Gaua Island. The animals are an investment (one can cost between 100-150$) and grase most of their life in paddocks under coconut trees. When the time comes they are slaughtered and sold to the community to raise money, often to help pay the school fees of the children which can be as high as 1500$ per year after grade 6.
